Manufacturing Visualisation and BI Specialist
Digital Manufacturing Ireland (DMI):
A Strategic Government Initiative, led by the IDA, DMI is a newly established institute which is intended to help Irish based manufacturers (MNC’s and SME’s) to access and accelerate their adoption of digital technologies. Offering a world class physical and digital factory, a vendor showcase, an industry collaboration space and training facilities the institute will bring together technology, expertise, training and business supports to help manufacturing companies to enhance, transform and position their operations for the future.
Location:
DMI is located in the National Technology Park, Limerick, Ireland. This role is a flexible working model. Employees can work fully at the DMI HQ or in a hybrid approach of partly remote and partly at the DMI HQ.

Role overview:
With this role you will work as part of a Data Science team to support DMI and its clients. You will support projects and initiatives that deliver value to our clients and can optimise processes by analysing, reporting, defining KPIs and data driven processes. The candidate will also have a deep knowledge of business intelligence solutions and can work with technology, project management, and business teams.

Key Skills and Competencies:
Minimum Role Requirements:
- 3 – 5 years’ data analytics experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems.
- Developing, deploying, maintaining and improving BI systems including but not limited to Power BI and Cloud Computing.
- Develop rich, interactive, visually striking graphics and data visualizations using large amounts of data.
- Interface with client technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources using ETL tools.
- Help define or revise business and project KPIs and create reporting and dashboards where needed.
- Promoting a data culture within client organizations - advocate and implement data education and literacy.
- Experience with common data science and analytics tools and languages, particularly Python and/or R.
