Graduate Workforce Transformation Engineer

Digital Manufacturing Ireland (DMI):

A Strategic Government Initiative, led by the IDA, the DMI is a newly established institute which is intended to help Irish based manufacturers (MNC’s and SME’s) to access and accelerate their adoption of digital technologies. Offering a world class physical and digital factory, a vendor showcase, an industry collaboration space, and training facilities the institute will bring together technology, expertise, training, and business supports to help manufacturing companies to enhance, transform and position their operations for the future.

Location:

DMI is located in the National Technology Park, Limerick, Ireland. This role is a flexible working model. Employees can work fully at the DMI HQ or in a hybrid approach of partly remote and partly at the DMI HQ.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Role Overview:

In this role, you will join the Data and Digital Technology team to support DMI and its clients in building and maintaining innovative solutions that are changing the way people work in manufacturing. As a Workforce Transformation Engineer, you’ll support the delivery of scalable, high-performance systems that advance DMI’s mission to access and accelerate manufacturing adoption of digital technologies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences with the appropriate level of detail.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the latest trends in next-gen manufacturing and bring it to life in DMI.

You can look forward to:

  • Building innovative software solutions across various manufacturing domains.
  • Collaborating with external partners, software vendors, universities, and internal teams to solve and develop manufacturing challenges.
  • Developing world class solutions for Ireland's manufacturing base.

Key Skills and Competencies:

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Systems or a related field.

Experience Required:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and APIs for reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

The Following Experience Would Be an Advantage:

  • Experience working in regulated or industrial production environments.
  • An understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts and digital manufacturing trends.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or similar).
